How ExpoFP's Support Team Enabled a Seamless Event Experience at Money20/20
Money20/20 is the world’s leading fintech show and the place where money does business. The show brings together banks, payments, fintech, tech and retail sectors. This year, we partnered with Grip and Crowd Connected to provide the event with an interactive app and floor plan featuring digital wayfinding.
With over 10,000 attendees, Money20/20 required dynamic support. This year, they opted for our premium support package, which included live edits throughout the exhibition. Despite thorough pre-event checks, some improvements only become clear during the show. Our team held regular check-ins to implement real-time updates, staying responsive 24/7.
The design was fully custom. Ascential Events, organizer of Money20/20, needed icons for elements like ladders, restrooms and other features. If we had placed them as they were, they wouldn’t have functioned properly. So, we adapted these icons to fit seamlessly within our design, ensuring the floor plan would function correctly in the app. Additionally, kiosks were displayed as POIs on the floor plan for the first time, helping attendees quickly locate information and directions on-site. Usually kiosks are not displayed on the floor plan.
Kiosks and digital wayfinding with blue-dot technology allowed attendees to find exhibitors quickly, staying focused on creating meaningful connections without losing time finding their way. At such large events, a floor plan is an essential feature to make attendee experience, as proven by the stats.
This year a floor plan received a record engagement, with 18,316 views and high interactivity across sessions. The floor plan logged 8,480 sessions and attracted 6,731 unique users, reflecting its value to Money20/20’s attendees.
