ExpoFP and Bizzabo Integration: Use Case INBOUND 23

HubSpot's INBOUND conference is a three-day event focusing on marketing and sales in tech, drawing over 11,000 attendees and featuring 200+ speakers. It is a conference with strong networking, workshops and entertainment experience.

Together with Bizzabo, ExpoFP served as one of the conference’s tech suppliers. HubSpot leveraged Bizzabo’s Event Experience Operating System to power registration, a private-labeled event app, onsite services, smart event wearable badges, and other features aimed at boosting networking and customer experience. 

Bizzabo’s Klik SmartBadgeTM technology enabled attendees to connect digitally by tapping their badges together to exchange contact information and initiate one-on-one conversations in the INBOUND event app. This technology was adopted by 89% of attendees, facilitating over 112,000 connections—an average of 10 connections per attendee.

ExpoFP provided the event with a floor plan with digital wayfinding that was embedded into HubSpot’s private-labeled event app. 

To embed the application, Bizzabo allocated one of the Custom Buttons, named “Interactive Map,” on their mobile app to direct to the ExpoFP URL created for INBOUND 2023. This integration enabled the map page to load directly within the mobile app, letting users access ExpoFP’s floor plan seamlessly and eliminating the need to navigate multiple applications or web pages.

Floor plan's automatic updates ensured that any changes to the floor plan were reflected instantly, saving organizers time and ensuring attendees had accurate information. The custom design that was used for a floor plan created a cohesive brand image.

Digital wayfinding helped attendees to quickly locate booths, stages and halls.
