How ExpoFP Enhanced Navigation at IMEX America 2026
Discover how ExpoFP powered the interactive floor plan at IMEX America 2026, connecting the official event app, blue-dot navigation, touchscreen kiosks, and an expanded Las Vegas city map.
Every October, Las Vegas brings together professionals from across the global meetings and events industry. IMEX America welcomes meeting planners, destinations, venues, exhibitors, and event technology providers for three days of business meetings, networking, and education.
The 2026 edition took place October 13–15 at Mandalay Bay, with an exhibition floor approximately 5% larger than in 2025. As the event continues to grow, helping attendees find exhibitors, meeting locations, and sessions remains an important part of the experience.
ExpoFP provided the IMEX America 2026 interactive floor plan, integrated into the official event app powered by ExpoPlatform and available through on-site touchscreen kiosks. The implementation also included blue-dot navigation and an expanded Las Vegas city map, giving visitors different ways to explore the exhibition and its surroundings.

Exploring IMEX America 2026 with ExpoFP's Interactive Floor Plan
At IMEX America 2026, the ExpoFP interactive floor plan provided a searchable digital map of the exhibition. Instead of relying exclusively on printed maps or static floor plan images, visitors could interact with the layout and find specific destinations.
Through the official IMEX app, attendees could:
- Search for exhibitors and identify their booth locations.
- Explore different sections of the exhibition floor.
- Find sessions and meeting spaces.
- Become familiar with the venue before arriving.
- Access the floor plan from their personal devices throughout the event app.

The map was useful even before the exhibition opened. Attendees could review the layout, identify exhibitors they planned to meet, and get a better understanding of where different areas were located.
During the show, the same map provided a convenient reference when moving between appointments or looking for a particular booth.
Making the floor plan available through the official event app also meant attendees could access exhibition information within a platform they were already using for their visit.

Interactive Kiosks: Making the Floor Plan Accessible On-Site
While many attendees use their phones to navigate events, touchscreen kiosks provide another practical way to access information directly on the exhibition floor.
At IMEX America 2026, ExpoFP worked with kiosk technology partner Cloudtouch to make the interactive floor plan available through on-site touchscreen displays.
Visitors could use these kiosks to search for exhibitors, check session locations, explore booth positions, and get directions to their destinations.
Interactive kiosks at IMEX America 2026 provide visitors with on-site access to the ExpoFP floor plan.
One important part of this implementation was ExpoFP's Kiosk Mode.
With Kiosk Mode, each touchscreen device could be assigned its own position on the interactive map. When an attendee searched for a destination, the kiosk's location provided a starting point for directions.
For example, someone standing near a kiosk could search for an exhibitor and view the route from that kiosk's position to the exhibitor's booth.

This approach is particularly useful in large exhibition venues, where visitors may enter from different areas or need directions between meetings.
The kiosks offered another way to access the exhibition map alongside the official IMEX app.

Blue-Dot Navigation in the Official IMEX App
Finding a booth on a map is useful. Knowing where you are in relation to that booth makes navigation even easier.
At IMEX America 2026, the official event app included blue-dot navigation, enabled by Crowd Connected's indoor-positioning technology on the ExpoFP interactive floor plan.
The blue dot displayed an attendee's current position on the map, helping visitors understand where they were within the exhibition.
With their starting point visible, attendees could follow routes to exhibitor booths, meeting spaces, and session locations while checking their progress along the way.
This brought a familiar navigation experience into the exhibition venue, where large halls and rows of booths can make it difficult to identify an exact location.
The implementation connected three technologies: ExpoFP's interactive floor plan, Crowd Connected's indoor positioning, and the official IMEX app powered by ExpoPlatform.
Together, they allowed visitors to access the event map and location-based navigation through their mobile devices.
For attendees moving between scheduled meetings, this provided another way to navigate the exhibition without having to stop and search for a physical map.

Beyond the Venue: Exploring Las Vegas
Attending IMEX America also means spending time in Las Vegas, whether traveling between hotels, meeting colleagues, or exploring the city outside exhibition hours.
For the 2026 edition, ExpoFP expanded its surrounding-area map to cover a wider part of Las Vegas.

In addition to hotels and transportation stops, the interactive city map included attractions, museums, landmarks, stadiums, and entertainment venues.
Visitors could search for a particular destination or use the ‘Things to Do’ search button to browse places across the city.
Each location featured its own profile, including a photo, description, and website link, helping attendees learn more about a destination before visiting.
For example, selecting Allegiant Stadium opened a location profile with information about the venue and a link to its official website.

The expanded city map was also available through the on-site kiosks, giving attendees access to information about Las Vegas alongside the exhibition floor plan.
This extended the usefulness of the interactive map beyond finding booths and meeting rooms. Visitors could also use it to discover places around the destination hosting the event.
Why Interactive Floor Plans Matter for Large Exhibitions
An interactive event map does more than display booth locations. It helps connect exhibitors, attendees, and the spaces where meetings, education, and networking take place.
For attendees, searchable exhibitor listings and navigation features make it easier to locate destinations and explore the venue.
For exhibitors, clearly identified booth locations help visitors find their stands.
For organizers, integrating an interactive floor plan into the official event app and making it available through on-site kiosks provides different ways for attendees to access event information.
These features worked together to support different parts of the attendee journey, from planning visits before the exhibition to navigating the venue and exploring the host city.
